Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 April 2026

1. Who we are

Turbocrimp (“Turbocrimp”, “we”, “us”) is a climbing wall logging and browsing service operated by an individual based in New Zealand. Contact: contact@turbocrimp.com.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Turbocrimp you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Turbocrimp. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission.

4. Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One account per person. Provide accurate information.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account, including content created by collaborators you invite to a wall.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or infringes on others’ rights.
  • Upload wall photos you do not own or have permission to use.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse the service with automated tools.
  • Interfere with other users’ ability to use the service.
  • Use the service to harm minors.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create on Turbocrimp (wall photos, problems, ascents, notes, ratings). By submitting content you grant Turbocrimp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

7. Walls and collaborators

If you create a wall, you are the wall admin and responsible for its content, its collaborators, and any photos uploaded to it. Collaborators you grant editor access can add and modify content on your wall.

8. Climbing safety disclaimer

Climbing is dangerous. Bouldering and climbing carry an inherent risk of serious injury or death. Problems and grades on Turbocrimp are user-generated and are not inspected, verified, or endorsed by us. Hold integrity, wall setup, padding, and climbing conditions are entirely outside our control.

You climb entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, the use of appropriate pads and spotters, and assessing whether a problem is suitable for your ability. Turbocrimp is a logging and browsing tool only and does not provide coaching, safety advice, or route certification.

9. Intellectual property

The Turbocrimp name, logo, software, and design are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without written permission.

10. Third-party services

Turbocrimp relies on third-party providers (listed in our Privacy Policy) to operate. Their availability and terms may change. We are not responsible for outages or actions of third parties.

11. Termination

You can stop using Turbocrimp at any time and request account deletion by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your user content may be removed.

12. Warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Turbocrimp is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including injury, loss of data, or lost profits, arising out of your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other laws that cannot be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Turbocrimp against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
